Prambanan Temple Tour

Arrival from Jakarta by morning flight. Travel directly to the 9th century Prambanan Temple complex, amongst verdant rice fields and beautiful countryside. The largest and tallest temple in this complex is known as ‘Loro Jonggrang’ and is covered with carved reliefs of the Ramayana Story; it is considered to be the most elegant and beautiful temple in Java. Visits will also be made to the Candi Sewu, Candi Plaosan and Candi Kalasan temple complexes.

Borobudur Temple Tour

Arrival from Jakarta by morning flight. Visit one of the great wonders of the world, the spectacular Borobudur Temple. This Buddhist temple is a structure of grey andesite stone with 10 terraces, each smaller than the one below, rising to the great stupa on top, standing about 40 meters above the ground. The bas-relief sculpture depicting the life of Buddha on the wall of the lower six square levels are hailed as the largest and most complete ensemble of Buddhist reliefs in the world. Visits will also be made to the nearby, smaller, but equally important temples: Candi Mendut with its three meter statue of Buddha and Candi Pawon.
